About me

I was 365 pounds, and a doctor told me I'd die young.

Today I've kept 135 pounds off for over 15 years. This is how I got here, and why I coach.

Where I started

At 365 pounds I was pre-diabetic, with a fatty liver, high triglycerides and high blood pressure. My doctor told me plainly: if I didn't lose the weight, I wouldn't live a long life.

I couldn't shop at regular clothing stores. I avoided my own reflection. I felt like I wasn't living, just existing.

The hard way

So I tried everything. Keto. Cutting out foods. Every new plan going. I'd lose some, gain it right back and start over again.

It took me 5 years to get from 365 to 230 pounds, because I spent most of that time doing what doesn't work.

What finally worked wasn't another diet. It was simple food I liked, eaten over and over, and getting back on track fast when I slipped.

15 years later

I've kept the weight off for over 15 years. Every number on those lab reports went back to healthy. I still eat pizza. I still have dessert. I just never started over again.

Why I coach

Most people I work with have lost weight before and gained it back. They don't need more information. They need a way of eating that fits a real life, and someone who's actually been where they are.

I went the long way so my clients don't have to. My goal for every client is simple: get you to a place where you don't need me anymore.

What I believe

The rules I live and coach by

1

Messy action beats a perfect plan

Progress comes from doing something imperfect every day, not waiting for the right Monday.

2

The 24-hour rule

Slip up? Get back on track within 24 hours. One meal never ruins anything. Quitting does.

3

Never miss twice

Missing once is normal. Missing twice is the start of the old pattern, so we stop it there.

4

Nothing is banned

If you can't picture eating this way for the rest of your life, it won't last. So we keep the foods you love.

Ready when you are

Make this the last time you start over.

If you've lost weight before and gained it back, I'd love to help you do it once, for good. My goal is to get you to a place where you don't need me anymore.
